I have an old RCA TV without any RCA connections. I want to wire my Magnavox DVD player to the cable box converter using the supplied audio/visual cables. The cable box is a Pioneer Voyager model with rear RCA jacks. Once the cables are installed, how do I switch from cable tv reception to DVD reception on the tv? I know I must use the remote to make this happen, but I don't know how to switch from cable to DVD. I am able to power up the DVD player using the remote, but can't switch reception from cable to DVD. Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forum. :Welcome2CableTV:
RF modulator can help you out.
We have some hook up guides you can cross reference by going here:

Thanks for your help.Jan, you'll need to connect your DVD player to the antenna connector on your TV set, which is the same place you'll need to connect your cable converter. That means you'll need to use an external "A/B" switch (available at Radio Shack and elsewhere) to switch between the two lines. If your DVD player does NOT have a coax cable output, but does have the RCA Red/White/Yellow connections, you'll also need a modulator to convert the video and audio to the RF signals that you'll switch with the A/B switch. There are several diagram in the hookupguides library that show the connections.
