I have a Scientific Explorer 8300 Digital Recorder Cable Box, a Sony Bravia HDTV and Panasonic combination DVD/VHS player-recorder. There are no instructions in the Sony TV manual to hook up the DVD/VHS and when I followed the guide in the Panasonic manual, I can't get anything on the TV screen to even program the DVD/VHS. The panasonic manual states that the RF out needs to go to the TV UHF/VHF - but still no picture. The cable box and TV work fine. All three pieces of equipment have one HDMI slot and I am using this from the cable box to the TV--no other place to hook up this cable from the DVD/VHS recorder player. I want to be able to use the recorder/player for its intended purpose. I have looked at the hook up guides here on the site but can't find anything that works. Thank you for your assistance.
