First off I'd like to start by saying this is a very knowledge-packed forum. A definate book-marker.

I've been through all the "hookup" guides and can't find one to solve my problem.

I have a Dish 411 receiver hooked by HDMI to a Hitachi 51s715 HDTV. (HDMI Input)
I also have a S-Video connection going from the Dish 411 to a Pioneer DVR 531H-s then to my Hitachi TV. (S-Video on Input 3) This way I can watch HD on Input 1 and SD on Input 3.
Antenna in is split 3 ways going to all 3 (Dish Receiver, DVR, and TV).

Heres my dilema...

I would like to record one show (on Input 3 for SD, don't have a HD DVR) and
watch tv on the other input 1 (HD), but I can't hookup correct to make this happen.
However, I can watch tv through the antenna input (which is just a few HD local channels I get). I've tried hooking up the way the DVR manual says, but no luck.

Any pointers?

Any pointers?Wyzer: It seems like the biggest issue is that the 411 is a single output receiver. You're not going to be able to "record one/watch another" EXCEPT as you've hooked it up using the 3way splitter.

Duh.... I guess I wasn't even thinking along the lines of the dish receiver being the culprit, but your right. I figured origanally that the lack of input/ouput options on this receiver would byte me in the  at some point down the road... and it did. I may have to look into some different dish receivers too see if any carry multiple outputs.

Thanks for the reply Jonathan.
