I need help!

I have coaxial cable hook-up, a regular old sony tv, an older sony VCR and a new sony DVD player. I want to hook them up so I can play either vhs or dvd without playing with the cables etc. I've been browsing your site trying to find instructions but I don't have a modulator or an A/B switch or any of that..... can it be done?????:headbang:

and what you find is calling for an A/B switch of a RF modulator, then you will need it. :alienmorph:

The diagrams I saw demonstrated a hook-up through a cable box, which I don't have--do I just attach the cable as stated, minus the box?

Let me reword this, coax into the VCR, coax out of the VCR into the RF modulator, RF out of the modulator into the TV. You would take and hook up your RCA jacks out of the DVD player into the rca jacks of the modulator.
