I have a dishnetwork dvr, vcr/dvd player, receiver, cd player all to my approx. 10 yr old Magnavox tv. My problem is the latest satellite tech. did not hook up my vcr correctly. I would like to record onto vhs what I have recorded onto my dvr before I lose it. Thanks!

If you hook up the VCR between the output of the Dish DVR and the TV, you'll be able to do what you want. Jonathan

I seem to have lots of yellow plugs hanging here and there, is that what I need to use. Also, my tv jacks are down by the floor, none of these plugs will reach that far, what do I need.

Our satellite was originally installed on RCA TV on the DVD option. Now we are unable to plug any other component like DVDR and VCR into the receiver? what is the solution.

I'm afraid that given what you've said, you're going to need to hire a local satellite tech to come and look at your exact set up.
