Bresnan Communications customers in Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado lost their Internet and/or telephone services from Thursday evening until late Friday morning due to an undisclosed technical failure.
Regional Vice President Sean O'Donnell, who is based in Billings, said the outage was major.
"Since Bresnan took these properties over in 2003, this is one of the largest we've had," he said.
