| Bresnan Taps Terayon Cable Operator to Deploy DM 6400 Network CherryPicker By Jason Braff -- Multichannel News, 6/26/2007 1:13:00 PM Emmy Award-winning Terayon Communication Systems, a provider of digital-video-networking applications, announced Tuesday that its applications were summoned by Bresnan Communications as part of the cable operator’s rollout of digital simulcast. "The quality, reliability and simplicity of operation of Terayon solutions have been critical factors in our ability to meet the needs of our subscribers and our advertisers,” Bresnan vice president of strategic engineering Pragash Pillai said in a prepared statement. “The DM6400 Network CherryPicker optimizes bandwidth while maintaining video quality." Bresnan will use Terayon’s video applications and DM 6400 Network CherryPicker for digital-program insertion, zoned advertising insertion and other solutions that leverage rate-shaping and statistical-remultiplexing capabilities to deliver more personalized content.
