How did you spend your holiday weekend? If you spent it trying to get Web pages to load, you weren't alone.

"Some Bright House Networks Road Runner Internet customers are experiencing intermittent problems accessing various websites," said Bright House spokesman Brian Craven, who initially attributed the problems to "offsite congestion" caused by an increase in traffic over the holidays but today said it was a vendor's "hardware problem."

Beginning Christmas Eve, some Central Florida Bright House customers were unable to get to certain Web pages, including this one. Many popular sites such as Google, YouTube and Twitter were virtually inaccessible by some customers, coming up extremely slowly or not at all.
