Smile Satisfied With BHN

What Happens In The BrightHouse, Stays In The BrightHouse? Bah, Corny But I Had To Say It Anyway ...

FiosTV Isn't Available At My Location, Though It's Available In The Two Neighboring Subdivisions, CountryWay & The Cove (Dunno If It's Available But Saw Them Laying Fiber A Few Months & VZ Trucks Parked On Corners With Tables, Pamplets, Gifts ... Which Is What I Assume To Be A "Get To Know VZ" Campaign) ... Back To BrightHouse ...

I Was Considering A Switch To Dish Due To Promotions They Were Running. I Figured I'd Call BrightHouse To See What They Could Do Price-Wise To Keep Me As A Customer. I Received Promotional Rates For Both Analog Cable & RoadRunner. The Six Months Is Nearly Up & I've Received Promotional Pricing Letters For Both Services ... Television Will Cost Me $5.00 Over The Promotion I Previously Had. I'll Be Paying $7.00 More For RR Each Month But The Prices Will Be About $20.00 Below What I Was Previously Paying (Before The Two Promotions I Received). The New Promotional Prices Will Be Good For Six Months Once The Current Promotion Expires (Next Month).

I'm Currently Happy With BHN. I've Never Had Any Issues With Their Service, Though I Do Feel Broadband (In General) Is OverPriced, Not By Alot Though. With The Promotions I Received, It Earned Them My Loyalty. It Was Nice Seeing A Company Want To Keep My Business. I Know On Their End, They Want To Keep My Business And Will Accept A Lower Profit Margin To Do So. On My End, I Was Happy To Pay What I Believed To Be Fair For The Needs These Services Provided Me. As Longs As BHN Remains Competitive To The Competition In Pricing & A High Level Of Service, They Will Retain Me As A Customer (Meaning, If The Competition UnderSells Them Significantly & Provides Quality Service, Then I Would Consider A Switch). As Longs As These Remain Close, I'll Stick With BHN.

By calling BH before switching to a competitor, you gave them the chance to 'save you' as a customer. It's far cheaper for them to give you something to stay, than to lose you and try to get a replacement subscriber. Some would call that a win-win. I call it you being a smart consumer!

PS: Your post is very important for others to read. I'm going to move it to the Cable TV Tips section. -jlk

I Posted This In The BrightHouse Discussion, A Promo Offer I Received. I'm Unclear If It's A Promotion Sent To Everyone Or Those Who Are Currently On A Promotion Which Will Be Expiring Soon.

I'm Not Big On The Digital Tier Offerings So I'll Negotiate What I Can To Retain Decent Pricing For Basic (Ch.1-74) And HSI. If Not, This May Be A Way To Go. I Don't Make Long Distance Calls So Digital Phone Isn't A Priority For Me (Plus My Mother Is The Queen Of Phone Cards So I Can Always Call Her Up And Have Her Send Me A Few, Heh Heh).

Just Wanted To Post This Here Since Most Of My Neighbors Through Away Anything That Remotely Looks Like An Advertisement. They Don't Read It So They Have No Idea What They May Or May Not Be Missing Out On.

Well, The Promotions Are All But Gone But I'll Be Jumping On The Bundling Bandwagon ... Digital Cable, HSI, & Tele Service From BHN For $99.99 ... Hopefully, I'll Be Able To Talk Them Into Throwing In An Extra STB (Though I'm Not Sure If They'd Do It).

Was annouced today FiOS has filed for a franchise in Tampa. Be interesting to see how it will effect BH there. With competition coming to town, you may get what you want for the most part.
