| Comedy Central added to lineup Beginning June 1, Cable One customers in West Harrison County will be able to tune in to some of the nation's most popular television shows - "The Daily Show," "The Colbert Report" and "South Park" - when the cable provider begins offering the Comedy Central network. "I'm glad we finally got it done," said Jim Perry, Gulfport Cable One general manager, who has been negotiating with Viacom, the parent company of Comedy Central, for years. Other Cable One systems along the Coast, including Biloxi/D'Iberville and Jackson County, have offered Comedy Central in their lineups for years. "Money and value were the sticking points," Perry said, adding it was "a niche we needed to fill." Comedy Central will appear on Channel 57 of the Gulfport Cable One lineup, the current site of Trinity Broadcasting Network, which is already available on Channel 390 of the digital service. Meanwhile, Perry said Cable One hopes to have problems with reception from Mobile NBC affiliate WPMI resolved by the end of the week. "We are waiting on a part on order, and it should be here this week," Perry said in response to viewer complaints of loss of audio, pixilating and freezing that have plagued Cable One's NBC reception since Hurricane Katrina struck nearly two years ago. "I need to get it fixed and over with," Perry said. SunHerald.com : Comedy Central added to lineup
