| Charter Boosts Broadband Service To 16 Mbps In Michigan MSO’s Internet Max Service Faster Than Competitors: comScore By Todd Spangler -- Multichannel News, 6/30/2008 11:19:00 AM Charter Communications is launching its High-Speed Internet Max service, with download speeds of up to 16 megabits per second, throughout most of its Michigan service area. According to Internet research firm comScore, Charter’s Internet download speeds are faster than the average speeds available from AT&T/BellSouth, Qwest and Verizon's broadband Internet offerings in areas serviced by Charter. Charter Business, which provides services to business, education and government, also offers up to 16 Mbps high-speed Internet service in Michigan. The MSO also offers two other residential broadband packages: High-Speed Plus, with download speeds up to 10 Mbps, and High-Speed Internet, with download speeds up to 5 Mbps.
