| Cox, National Lampoon Team Up On PPV Deal Pact Will Bring Classic Movies, New Features To More Than 80,000 Hotel Rooms By Larry Barrett -- Multichannel News, 5/1/2008 12:02:00 PM Cox Communications Thursday announced an agreement with National Lampoon to deliver original classic content and new feature films on a pay-per-view basis to more than 80,000 hotel rooms in Las Vegas. Under terms of the deal, Cox’s Business and Hospitality Network will show original content from the National Lampoon feature film library that includes classic and other original in-house produced titles, as well as new acquisitions from emerging filmmakers, company officials said. “We’re thrilled about adding National Lampoon content to our wide array of existing news, sports and entertainment programming to Las Vegas visitors,” David Blau, vice president and general manager of Cox Business and Hospitality Network, said in a statement. “This new content allows our resort partners to provide even more viewing options to suit the tastes of their constantly shifting demographics.” Cox said hotel guests can expect to view up to 12 new National Lampoon titles per year comprised of four original movies and up to eight acquisitions.
