Cox honored for community service efforts in Southern Arizona

SIERRA VISTA — Cox Communications is one of five philanthropists being honored for its community volunteerism and outreach efforts in Southern Arizona.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals Southern Arizona Chapter has named Cox Communications as its 2009 “Outstanding Corporate or Foundation Philanthropist” recipient, an honor shared by Cox Communications in Tucson and Sierra Vista.

The annual awards program, which recognizes exceptional achievements by individual, foundation and corporate philanthropists, will take place on Nov. 10 at the Westin La Paloma Resort in Tucson.
