Beginning March 1, Cox Communications will increase cable television rates for thousands of subscribers, including those with low- and middle-end packages.
Customers who receive “limited basic service,” the company’s entry-level offering, as well as standard service, its most popular package, will see their rates go up, as will those who subscribe to several digital tiers. Starting April 1, some installation charges will also rise.
Monthly limited basic service will jump 30 percent, from $12.99 to $16.99 in most communities, while expanded basic or standard service will rise 8 percent, from $48.99 to $52.99 for most subscribers. Exact rate changes will vary in certain communities.
