IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) Regardless of what AT&T says, IPTV isn't different from cable TV; it's merely a transmission protocol to move 1s and 0s to the subscriber.

NBC Universal on MTS Video On Demand

MTS Allstream Inc. has a long-term license agreement with NBC Universal to have Universal Pictures' films and specials available via MTS Video On Demand.

MTS TV customers can access content from NBC Universal, and within a specified viewing period, have DVD-like control of program playback with a remote control.

"NBC Universal has a long track record of producing award winning movies and content," said Stan Kurtas, Vice-President Marketing, Consumer Markets division, MTS Allstream. "We're very excited to add NBC Universal to our
expanding library of Video On Demand content, as MTS TV continues to build an outstanding digital television service that others in North America are striving to follow."

Recent theatrical titles that will premiere on MTS Video On Demand include "Alpha og," "Breach" and "Dead Silence". In addition, perennial favorites such as "Jaws", "The Bourne Identity" and "Meet the Parents" will be available.

"We're delighted to partner with MTS Allstream to offer viewers access to the vast Universal film library," commented Ron Lamprecht, Senior Vice President, NBC Universal Digital Distribution.
