We’ve been seeing all over the television news about the switch to digital cable.
That switch is coming on Feb. 17.
The switch from analog to digital broadcast is referred to as the DTV transition.
According to dtv.gov, the switch is being made to free up parts of the broadcast spectrum for public safety communications such as police, fire and rescue squads, and some of the spectrum will be auctioned to companies so they can provide more advanced wireless service.
Jim Bennett, regional manager for WindJammer, said there are some ways to tell if you will be ready for the switch.
