Larry, it's quite simple. Connect your Satellite receiver to your DVR using HDMI or component video/audio cables, and the output of the DVR to the input of your HDTV using HDMI or component video/audio cables.

Johathan, I know it sounds simple but I only wanted to use HDMI cables. If I connect from the cable box to the DVR with component cables won't I lose some video/audio quality ?
