Different Direct TV DVR hookup problem

I installed an off air antenna (RCA 3901) so that I can receive my local stations (couldn't get a waiver). I have a Direct TV DVR, so I have a SAT 1 and SAT 2 input. How do I connect this so that I can get my locals. With a regular receiver it was no problem (I just used a 2 way splitter). But I am thinking I need a splitter with 2 inputs and 3 outputs. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Sat 1 & 2 is for your DVR, with two lines run from the dish, it allows you to watch one channel and record the other.
As for your antenna, you should be able to go into the antenna input on the back of the receiver. Depending on the type of receiver you have, you may have to use the TV/Video button to switch between receiver and the antenna. Some receivers allow you to tune/scan in your locals so it is integrated into your guide and/or line up on the receiver allowing you to be able to view the locals without cutting off or switching the receiver.

Thanks for your reply, but maybe I didn't explain my situation fully. The off air antenna is connected (on the roof) to the satellite. Therefore, both the off air antenna and satellite come into the house on the same cable. On a normal receiver, I would have just one cable coming onto the house from the satellite. This cable would connect to the "input" on a 2 way splitter. Then the 2 outputs would connect to the back of the receiver, one to "SAT IN" and the other to "ANT". With a DVR, I have two cables already coming into the house, but with only one "input" on a 2 way splitter, there is no way to connect both of them, and not enough "outputs" for both DVR cables and an antenna cable. Hope this clarifies my problem. Thanks again.

You would use a diplexer NOT a splitter to seperate the antenna and satellite signal and run a jumper to the correct ports off the diplexer to the receiver.
The outside should have a 3x4 multiswitch outside, you have three inputs, V, H, and and antenna/cable. When you come out of that into the house, you would need the diplexer to splt the antenna and satellite signal.
