GUNTERSVILLE — The Marshall County Commission is studying an agreement with AT&T to provide video programming to unincorporated areas of the county where AT&T has service.
Commissioners briefly discussed the topic during a work session Thursday.
Albertville and Guntersville have already inked agreements with the telecommunications company and Boaz is considering one, said an AT&T official.
A time frame on when the service will be offered is not available, the official added.
Any agreement will not affect much of the area around Arab, which does not have AT&T service.
Officials said the service, called U-verse, gives residents an alternative to cable TV.
County Administrator Nancy Wilson said the contract is expected to be on the agenda of Monday’s regular commission meeting.
