AT&T is introducing its U-verse service to several markets in northwest Arkansas in the battle for television, Internet and phone subscribers.

The initial rollout includes parts of Fort Smith and Barling (Sebastian County), Fayetteville, Springdale, Lowell, Rogers and Bentonville.

"Today's launch of ATT U-verse represents the fulfillment of our commitment to bring consumers in a new era of true video competition," Ed Drilling, AT&T Arkansas president, said in a press release.
