AT&T's U-verse TV, Internet and voice services are available in parts of the Jackson, Miss., area, where the telco will take on incumbent cable provider Comcast.
AT&T touts its TV service as providing more than 110 HD channels, along with various customizable interactive features such as on-screen weather and news. The telco also noted that it has taken the top spot in the South region on J.D. Power and Associates' residential television service survey f or two years in a row.
"Today's launch of AT&T U-verse reflects our commitment to make the investments necessary to start bringing consumers in Jackson a new era of true video competition," AT&T Mississippi president Mayo Flynt said in a statement.
