hookup question

i have a vcr, xbox, tv, and comcast dvr box.
the cord i was given has red and white audio tabs and red, green, and blue video tabs (if that's what you'd call them).
the box has yellow, red, white, blue, green and orange on it though. i called comcast and they said i was given the wrong cord. is this right? and even with the correct cord how would i connect all of this?

Welcome, User!

I've attached a simple hook-up diagram for your set-up. This will let you record from your Comcast DVR, or even record your X-Box games (the ones where you reach level 427). The Video/Audio cables have RCA connectors; the XBox connects using a coax cable to your VCR. Select LINE on your VCR to watch cable; Select ANT on your VCR to play with the XBOX.

Good luck,

Jonathan

Welcome to the forum.

The yellow, red and white would be for the standard audio/video to both tv and box. As for the green, blue and red, that would be for the component video (HD, DVD, etc.), the red and white would be for the audio for that as well.
