Talking I am glad to have found this site...Need help

Hi Gang,
I am looking for the best way to get my recordings off Dish 622 DVR
I have Panansonic HD LCD TV
Dish 622 Dual Tuner Hi Def DVR Receiver
Samsung DVD Upconverting Player / Recorder
I currently run both 622 and Samsung HDMI thu a switch box as my TV only has 1 HDMI input
I currently feed the signal from the TV S-Video and RCA output to record to Samsung
Question:
Is this the best option to get great DVR Recording?
Should I hook up Component direct from 622 to DVD Recorder?
Should I hook up RF cable from 622 to DVD Recorder and THEN to TV?
I have not seen a diagram that addresses this question.
Thanks
Great Forum

Best way to record off DVR

Hi there,
I have a Panasonic 50" LCD with all the bells and whistles for hook ups. It has a single HDMI input but multiple Component/Composite, S-Video, inputs and outputs.
The DVR is a Dish Brand model 622 Dual Tuner / Hi Def DVR receiver. It too has HDMI output and multiple others
The DVD recorder is like Samsung DVD-R135http://samsung.com/Products/DVDPlayer/Recordable/files/dvdr135_final.pdf
The link above gives a great picture of the connections available

Is there any advantage to connecting the Dish 622 S-Video output directly to the DVD recorder vs. coming off the TV S-Video output to the DVD S-Video input.
The DVD recorder does not have Component IN capability. The best I can get is S-Video.

Ultimately what I want to do is the get best set up to record my DVR content to DVD.
Thanks
Brent

S-video will be about the best you are going to get then if you don't have component in on the DVDR. I would go with the 622 to DVDR for the best picture possible when recording.
